Community Course
Information
Adult CPR – Trains individuals to overcome any reluctance to
act in an emergency situation and to recognize and care for any
life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults. The participants
will learn to recognize the signals of a heart attack and provide care to
reduce the chance of cardiac arrest, how to care for an adult who stops
breathing, choking or whose heart stops beating.
Infant & Child CPR – This course teaches rescue breathing
and care for conscious and unconscious airway blockage, along with CPR
for children ages 8 and younger.
First Aid Basics – Trains individuals on responding to
life-threatening emergencies such as sudden illness and injury,
controlling bleeding, and care for non-threatening injuries like sprains
and fractures.
Community First Aid and Safety – Combine class
of Adult, Infant & Child CPR and First Aid Basic taught in an 8 hour
class.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer – The CPR/AED for
the Professional Rescuer course reflects the latest in life-saving
techniques and information and meets Emergency Cardiovascular Care 2000
Guidelines. Recognizing and caring for breathing and cardiac emergencies,
two rescuers CPR, use of resuscitation mask and bag valve mask, and AED_
Automated External Defibrillation.
Babysitters Training course Train with the
American Red Cross to be the best babysitter you can be. This course will
build your confidence to handle an emergency situation and make you a
more successful babysitter. It teaches safe care for infants, toddlers
and younger children. Learn to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac
emergencies in infants and children; learn more about when to call 911 to
get professional help quickly.
